Watches
Crew onboard ships serve shifts referred to as “watches.” While each boat divides watches differently, we will have two watch groups that will rotate on 3-4 hour shifts.
During the day (6 AM - 6 PM), we will have 4-hour day watches and at night (6 PM - 6 AM) we will have 3-hour shifts. This means that everyone will have to serve some night shifts so that is fair and everyone gets equal rest. Resting during the day while off watch is always encouraged!
Pro Tip: Bring some little extras to help you maximize sleep during your off-watch. Suggestions: eye mask, ear plugs, noise-canceling head phones, music playlist or audio book.
