In honor of the COVID-canceled Annapolis Boat Show, we are hosting a virtual boat show for all sailors to enjoy at home!

The Ocean Racers Online Boat Show (OROBS) will feature a collection of performance boat tours, product demos, some sneak-peeks and a few exclusive interviews October 8-12, 2020 on the team’s social media channels @oceanracers.

Each day will follow a different theme, with interactive media shared throughout the day on our Instagram and Facebook stories. Daily themes for OROBS will be focused on our areas of expertise: Technology, Ocean Racing, Sustainability, Pogos and Gear. Co-skippers and hosts, Meg Reilly and Morgen Watson, will guide followers on an in-depth exploration of the Ocean Racing market and its key players.

October 8 kicks off the Show with a deep dive into Tech. We’ll walk through our nke instruments and autopilot system, offering tips and tricks for getting the best boat performance on autopilot. We will also debut footage from our first double-handed race, which will rely heavily on our nke autopilot system. Interested in installing your own nke system? Check out nke’s dealer network here.

October 9 will take a step back to look at Ocean Racing as a whole. Meg hosts a tour and test sail of a Mini Transat 6.50, and chats about the short-handed offshore racing scene. We’ll take a look back on our 2015 campaign of IMOCA60 O Canada, while looking ahead to the future of the class. Fans will also catch a special tour of VO65 Sailing Poland and live interview with Ocean Racers alumnus and Sailing Poland crew member, Daniel Gaw.

October 10 is an all-day #oceanhour as the team focuses on sustainability at sea. Morgen will walk through all sustainability systems onboard our Pogo 12.50, including solar power, hydro-generator and water management systems. We’ll chat about how we lived off-the-grid during quarantine, and how easy it is to implement sustainable systems onboard.

October 11 is all things Pogo! Don’t miss the tour of our turbo-charged Pogo 12.50, Hermes, and what sets this Pogo apart. You can also catch a test sail and tour of a Pogo 10.50 to see Pogo’s heritage of building the perfect racer-cruisers. Maybe even buy one! We’ll share clips from our private factory tour of Pogo Structures, so you can see how these machines are beautifully hand-crafted in France.

October 12 concludes the OROBS programming with a bang. The final day is a special look at Gear — particularly the entire Mustang Survival sailing collection. Meg will also be premiering Mustang Survival’s new women’s line, offering a special sneak-peek before the official launch in Spring 2021.

For the duration of OROBS, Mustang Survival will be offering a special online discount, which we will reveal to followers at the start of the Show. North American sailors engaging with OROBS content will be entered to win daily Mustang Survival giveaways, and one Grand Prize at the conclusion of the event.

Sailors around the world are encouraged to tune-in October 8-12, 2020 for this unique COVID-inspired Boat Show experience. Set your calendars, follow @oceanracers on Facebook and Instagram, and stay tuned for LIVE notifications and daily OROBS updates.
