Enjoy racing the beautiful BVIs as part of the Ocean Racers team— join us for the 49th edition of the BVI Spring Regatta! The regatta has two parts, the Sailing festival with a long Round Tortola course one day and a race to party at Scrub Island the next, and then 3 days of regatta racing between islands.

BVI Spring Regatta is the perfect mix of cruising and racing with a variety of courses and activities packed into an ultimate week of sailing in the BVIs! Check out what the week has in store:

Itinerary: (Subject to change) 

Monday: Check-in Hermes at Nanny Cay Marina at 10 AM. Training day around BVIs, lunch included. Cycle through roles, hoist spinnakers, practice starting sequences.

Tuesday, Nanny Cay Round Tortola Race. Separately scored event for Nanny Cay Cup. Opportunity to see every point of sail while enjoying the view on long courses around the island. This race takes up the whole day, followed by an evening prize giving at Nanny Cay. Lunch and post-race drinks onboard included. 

Wednesday: Scrub Island Invitational Race. This is a casual morning race to an afternoon Pool Party! Take it seriously or take it easy, the short course will have us moored up at Scrub Island just in time for an afternoon BBQ at the resort’s legendary multi-tiered pool. Lunch BBQ Buffet tickets available for purchase, snack and post-race drinks provided on sail back to Nanny Cay that evening.

Thursday: Lay Day! Do we sail over to the infamous Willy T’s and lose ourselves in cruisers mayhem, or go on an adventure and find the best snorkeling spot? The choice is ours as we enjoy a day off from racing to discover other perks of the BVIs. Lunch onboard and snorkeling gear included, shoreside activities at your own expense.

Friday: Regatta time! We’ve had a week to practice and build the team, now it’s time to put it to the test. Daily courses will be announced each morning that take us around different islands of the BVIs — no two days are the same! Lunch onboard and post-race drinks included.

Monday: Check-out Buckaroo at 10 AM for those staying onboard.

BVI Spring Regatta has a great mix of racing and cruising with a week of sailing adventures to "test the waters" before kicking off the 3-day weekend regatta. We welcome crews to join us; basic sailing/racing experience is required, but we have plenty of time to build your skills and get you racing like a Pro in paradise.

Crew fees are all-inclusive with accommodation options for up to 9 crew -- enjoy training days, pro coaching, lunches, racing and cruising all together in one package!
