Watches

Crew onboard ships serve shifts referred to as “watches.” While each boat divides watches differently, we will have two watch groups that will rotate on 3-4 hour shifts.

During the day (9 AM - 9 PM), we will have 4-hour day watches and at night (9 PM - 9 AM) we will have 3-hour shifts. This means that everyone will have to serve some night shifts so that is fair and everyone gets equal rest. Resting during the day while off watch is always encouraged!

On our more relaxed cruising legs, we will only serve watches during the day and during occasional night passages. Most of the time we will be on anchor at night, allowing us to settle in, rest up, and explore a new place every day!
